Links

Links is the main Short URL workspace. Users create one short link for each destination, campaign, channel, product, offer, or partner source they want to track separately.

Core fields

  • Name: internal label shown inside the dashboard and reports. Use a clear name such as Spring Sale Email or Restaurant Menu Flyer.
  • Destination URL: the final URL visitors reach after clicking the short link.
  • Alias or custom code: optional readable code used in the public URL, for example spring-sale. If left empty, the system can generate one automatically.
  • Password: optional protection for links that should only be opened by visitors who know the password.
  • Brand domain: the default app domain or a verified custom domain used to build the public short URL.
  • UTM preset: saved UTM source, medium, campaign, term, and content values applied to the outgoing destination.
  • Tracking pixels: supported external marketing pixels attached to the click flow.
  • Status: active links redirect publicly; paused or archived links should not be used in live campaigns.

Create a short link

  1. Open Short URLs > Links.
  2. Click the create action.
  3. Enter a clear name and destination URL.
  4. Choose a custom alias when the link will be printed or shared publicly.
  5. Select a brand domain if the workspace has verified domains.
  6. Apply a UTM preset and tracking pixels when needed.
  7. Save the link.
  8. Open the public short URL and confirm it redirects to the correct destination.

Good alias examples

  • spring-sale for seasonal offers.
  • menu for restaurant menus.
  • webinar for event registration.
  • support for help or onboarding links.

Common mistakes

  • Using aliases that are too long or hard to type.
  • Sharing a link before testing the final redirect.
  • Forgetting to apply the correct UTM preset before the campaign starts.
  • Changing the destination after a campaign is already live without retesting.
